Polish aid

On World Humanitarian Day we express our gratitude to humanitarian workers. Poland cooperates with them through international and non-governmental organisations, which helps us reach communities that most need urgent support.

The Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange has announced the results of the selection process for the Stefan Banach NAWA Programme for the 2026/2027 academic year. Out of 887 applications submitted, scholarships were awarded to 130 laureates. This year's results show the programme's exceptionally wide international reach. Students from as many as 25 developing countries will come to Poland.

Armed conflicts, climate change, and development disparities all adversely affect access to drinking water in many regions of the world. On World Water Day, which in 2026 is celebrated on 22 April, we present selected projects financed by Polish Aid that provide access to clean water regardless of place of residence.

Supporting women's entrepreneurship has a positive impact on entire communities. That's why Polish Aid finances projects that enable women to acquire new skills and strengthen their entrepreneurial capacity. On International Women's Day, we present selected projects aimed at women implemented in 2025.

On December 11, at the Informal Meeting of Ministers for European Affairs in Lviv, Poland reinforced its support for Ukraine's EU membership by announcing its participation in the Ukraine2EU - EU Integration Support Programme. Poland has contributed €1 million to Ukraine2EU and will provide advisory support drawn from its own experience to Ukrainian public administration institutions it their efforts to conduct EU-related reforms and align legislation with the EU acquis. The contribution will also help to reinforce the Verkhovna Rada's capacities related to Ukraine's EU accession.
