07.10.2025
On 3 October 2025, the final stage of the Moldovan edition of the BOOST: Green Futures Challenge took place in Chișinău.
Organised in 2025 in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the BOOST programme aimed to support aspiring entrepreneurs from Ukraine and Moldova in developing their innovative and eco-friendly ideas.
After completing the programme, which included training, mentoring, and experience exchange, 16 representatives of Moldovan startups had the opportunity to present their projects during the Demo Day. The projects the experts chose as the most promising will receive financial awards for further development and support in entering the market. Programme participants also joined the alumni community, where they can benefit from mentoring support and further training.
Thanks to BOOST, innovators from Ukraine and Moldova have established contacts with Polish industry experts, business mentors, and investors, which enables them to scale solutions and build international partnerships. It is precisely this synergy between the public and private sectors that can become the driving force for Moldova's green transformation.
Since 2021, Poland has contributed a total of 8.3 million PLN as part of the cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UNDP in the area of supporting innovation through private sector engagement. These activities are an important element of involving the private sector in development cooperation.
At the end of September, the final stage of the Ukrainian edition of the programme took place.
