Polish aid

Organised at the initiative of France, Germany and the European Commission, the event was held in Paris on 15 April and followed up on the debates in Geneva in June 2023, in New York in September 2023, and in Cairo in November 2023.

Polish aid has supported refugees and local communities who are hosting refugees in access to medical services for years.

There are 2.2 billion people in the world without access to clean, safe water. For years, Polish aid has been financing projects aimed at improving water management, i.e. ensuring access and rational use of water, and supporting efforts to preserve clean and natural water ecosystems.

The head of Polish diplomacy attended the third edition of the European Humanitarian Forum in Brussels. Minister Sikorski spoke about Polish aid to Ukraine during the Russian invasion and pointed to the humanitarian crisis in the Middle East as one of the priority emergencies.

Does Polish Aid support business clubs? Yes, provided that it is a "Business Club on Heels" whose main objective is to help Moldovan women to start and develop their own businesses. So far, over 300 participants have benefited from the special trainings.

Deputy Minister Jakub Wiśniewski, also serving as National Development Cooperation Coordinator, chaired the inaugural meeting of the 4th Development Cooperation Policy Council on 6 March 2024 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ headquarters.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radosław Sikorski, after a positive opinion on the project by the members of the Development Cooperation Policy Council, approved the Development Cooperation Plan for 2024.

Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Władysław Bartoszewski, joined the presentation of the Polish chapter of the Regional Refugee Response Plan for Ukraine on 15 February 2024 in Warsaw.

On 11–12 February 2024, in Brussels, Undersecretary of State Jakub Wiśniewski took part in the Foreign Affairs Council session in the format of development cooperation ministers of EU states (FAC Development).
