Today marks one year since Andrzej Poczobut, the deputy chairman of the Union of Poles in Belarus and an independent representative of Belarusian journalistic circles, was sentenced to eight years of imprisonment. His release remains a priority for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski and Head of the UNHCR Representation in Warsaw Kevin Allen talked today about cooperation aimed at helping and integrating Ukrainian refugees in Poland.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has awarded the Nansen Refugee Award to the Lena Grochowska Foundation. Lena and Władysław Grochowski, a married couple, have been running a private philanthropy since 2014. After the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, the Grochowski family provided accommodation to refugees who urgently needed shelter.

The headquarters of the Training Centre of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Moldova (IGSU) in Răzeni hosted on 28 November 2023 a handover ceremony of the firefighting and personal protective equipment purchased under the project “Support to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations - Stage II”.
