Polish Aid 2023 in numbers
In 2023, Poland’s Official Development Aid totalled PLN 10.8 billion, that is 0.33% of the Gross National Income. Poland thus achieved its target of the ODA/GNI ratio. A high level of ODA was due to the support for Ukrainian refugees and funding for contributions to international organisations.
Poland’s direct support for Ukraine amounted to USD 215 million (8% of ODA), while the costs of providing for war refugees staying in Poland reached USD 1 332 million (25% of ODA). The ratio of bilateral to multilateral assistance in 2023 remained on a level similar to that of the previous year and amounted respectively to 66% and 34% of ODA (in 2022 to 76% and 24% respectively).
