In an interview with TVP, Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński spoke about the reasons for his return to the government. He stressed that he wanted to make use of his experience. Prime Minister Kaczyński compared a government to a good host who can have a positive influence on the development of a country. He indicated numerous evidences of the good state of the Polish economy, which are reflected in, e.g., OECD statistics.

A new installation for plastics production has been built in Police, near Szczecin. The plant, which is part of Grupa Azoty Police, is one of the largest chemical industry investments in Europe. The investment will consolidate Poland's position on the market and strengthen our country's raw material independence. In addition to the infrastructure for production, accompanying facilities have also been created – an offshore gas port, storage silos and a logistics platform. The “Polimery Police” complex uses the latest technologies to produce plastics and hydrogen. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki attended the ceremony to mark the start of production at the Grupa Azoty Police plant. He stressed that the new investment is a great contribution to the Polish chemical sector and creates many new jobs.

We care about the safety of all road users. Changes we have implemented over the past few years are delivering visible results. In 2022, for the first time ever, the number of road accident victims in Poland fell below 1,900. Our road safety efforts have been recognised at the European forum. Poland was awarded the Road Safety Performance Index Award by the European Transport Safety Council. We also know how important education is from an early age. That is why we support social programmes and campaigns concerning road safety. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki conducted a lesson as part of the “Crocodile Tirk's Safe School” campaign.

Our activities are guided by the idea of sustainable development. We make sure that every corner of Poland is invested in. That is why the Government Strategic Investment Programme was established, which changes the lives of local people for the better. Local communities receive funds to renovate roads, build new kindergartens or sports fields, and water supply systems. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has announced that the 6th edition of the programme will be aimed at local governments in which state-owned farms, so-called PGRs, were located. The call for applications starts tomorrow and will last until the end of July. This is yet another support for former state-owned farms. In the third call, municipalities and poviats received a total of over PLN 4 billion for investments close to the people.

We allocate funds for local investments that are important to residents. We are striving to ensure that the state becomes ever closer to its citizens and meets their expectations. This can be seen, for example, in the availability of uniformed services in less populated areas of the country. We put the safety of Poles first, which is why we have already restored or created nearly 200 police stations.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki was a guest at Congress 590, which is devoted to the issues of the Polish economy. As the head of government pointed out, we are currently dealing with great geopolitical changes in the world, so our country has to reinvent itself, so to speak. At the same time, the Prime Minister recalled that Poland has achieved record economic growth over the past eight years – despite the pandemic and other crises.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has appointed Brigadier General Marek Kubiak as director of the Government Centre for Security. On behalf of the head of government, Minister Zbigniew Hoffmann handed over the act of appointment to the new director.

The annual Ambassadors' Meeting in Warsaw is a gathering of Polish diplomats from around the world. During the meeting, the goals, directions and challenges of Polish foreign policy in the near future are being discussed. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki met with ambassadors at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. The head of government stressed the opportunities for our country brought by geopolitical changes. He also talked about European values and Polish economic diplomacy, which attracts investment to our country. Polish diplomacy is very active around the world and has achieved many successes that are important for Poland and Europe. We will continue to strengthen Poland's position in the international arena and take care of our country's good image.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki inaugurated the 6th Vision for Development Forum. It is the largest economic event in northern Poland. During the two-day meeting, scientists, entrepreneurs, financiers and journalists will discuss the most important economic and political issues in Poland. The head of government stressed that taking care of economic development and a balanced budget makes it possible to manage finances for the benefit of Poles. As a result, more money can be allocated to social programmes, anti-crisis shields, and investments.

Intel, the world’s largest producer of microprocessors, will invest a record-breaking amount of money in a factory near Wrocław. The company will open here the most technologically advanced production facility in this part of Europe. This is the largest foreign investment in Poland’s history. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has been active on the international stage to attract new investments to Poland, including the one announced today. The head of the Polish government visited the site for the factory and met with Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger.
