31.01.2025On January 30-31, the University of Gdańsk hosted a conference “Foreign Students in Poland 2025”, dedicated to the internationalization strategy of higher education. The event was accompanied by a meeting of the Presidium of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools of Poland. The session was attended by Deputy Ministers Karolina Ziolo-Puzhuk and Andrzej Szeptycki, who stressed the importance of internationalization for the further development of Polish education and science.

28.01.2025The Staszic Palace hosted a ceremony to sign a memorandum of cooperation between the High Pressure Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences, The Japan Steel Works and Mitsubishi Chemical Group Corporation. The document sets new directions for joint activities in the development of gallium nitride crystal growth technology - a material that could revolutionize modern electronics and optoelectronics. Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Andrzej Szeptycki, took part in the celebrations.

10.01.2025On 1 January 2025, Poland assumed the Presidency of the Council of the European Union which will continue for the next six months. The motto of the Polish Presidency, “Security, Europe!”, reflects its priorities, which focus on ensuring stability in key areas. The Polish Presidency will aim to strengthen external, internal, information, economic, energy, food and health security, advancing initiatives for the common good of all Member States.

The event was held under the honorary patronage of the Minister of Science. The meeting was attended by Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Maciej Gdula, and Prof. Patrycja Matusz, Plenipotentiary of the Minister of Science for European Affairs and the Presidency of the Republic of Poland in the Council of the European Union.
