The Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education met with HE Mohamed Salah Eddine Belaid, Ambassador of Algeria. During the conversation, they discussed the possibilities of promoting Polish higher education and encouraging Algerian students to study at Polish universities.

Secretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Marek Gzik, participated in the European Congress of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises – one of the most important events in Europe dedicated to the SME sector. The meeting was an opportunity for dialogue between entrepreneurs, representatives of public administration, scientists and experts from many fields, offering them a space to exchange experiences and network.

A meeting was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Science with representatives of the General Secretariat of the EU Competitiveness Council in the research configuration. Among other topics, the parties discussed priorities related to scientific research and innovation in the context of Poland’s preparations for the EU presidency.

The Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education met with the European Commission’s Director-General for Education, Youth, Culture and Sport Pia Ahrenkilde Hansen. The talks were focused on Poland’s upcoming presidency of the EU Council, plans related to the development of higher education and the concept of a common European diploma.

The Maria Curie-Skłodowska University is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year. One of the highlights of the anniversary celebration was the Marie Curie-Skłodowska International Congress “Innovation is a Woman. Science - Business - Education.” The event was attended by Minister Dariusz Wieczorek.

Geneva hosted the fourth edition of the scientific and diplomatic summit under the theme “Great Scientific Acceleration.” Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Andrzej Szeptycki, took part in the event.

Polish-Czech intergovernmental consultations were held in Prague. The session was chaired by Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala and Prime Minister Donald Tusk. The meeting was also attended by Minister Dariusz Wieczorek, who met with Czech Minister of Science, Research and Innovation Marek Ženíšek.

Possibilities for Polish-Bavarian cooperation were the subject of a meeting between Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Prof. Andrzej Szeptycki, and Secretary of State at the Bavarian Ministry of Economy, Regional Development and Energy, Tobias Gotthardt, which took place on October 4.

Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Prof. Andrzej Szeptycki, received Saxon Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer, who visited Warsaw in the company of Saxon Landtag deputies Jan Löffler and Alexander Wiesner.

Katowice solemnly inaugurated the new academic year. The inter-university event brought together the scientific community from across the region. The meeting highlighted not only the importance of academic tradition, but also the innovative potential of this city as an internationally renowned scientific center. The event was attended by Minister Dariusz Wieczorek.
