- Today's event is another step towards strengthening Polish-Saudi ties. I am convinced that it will bring tangible results in the form of new contracts, investments and joint projects - said Secretary of State Jacek Czerniak during the opening ceremony of the Polish-Saudi Investment Forum.

- Food security must remain a priority for the European Union. That is why we need a policy that supports innovation and investments in the agri-food sector. Farmers must have real access to modern technologies so as to produce in an efficient and environmentally friendly manner - said Stefan Krajewski in Copenhagen during an informal meeting of the EU Ministers of Agriculture.

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Stefan Krajewski - as announced - is participating in the informal meeting of EU agriculture ministers, organised under the Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU. The visit provides an opportunity to hold discussions on the current situation of European agriculture, also in the context of the provisions of the EU-Mercosur agreement. 'Many talks are already behind us, but we are not giving up. We wish to continue our dialogue with the ministers of Member States who share positions similar to that of the Polish Government,' emphasised the Minister of Agriculture.

- For us, this is a very important event from the point of view of the entire fishery sector. It shows that we cooperate with the European Commission in this respect. I am very glad that during yesterday's meeting with the fishermen, processors and representatives of aquaculture industry, we exchanged views on the future of the industry - said Secretary of State Jacek Czerniak in relation to the visit of Commissioner Costas Kadis to Poland.

- Today, the fishery community is the most important actor of this meeting, since today you will present the issues that, in your opinion, are the most important from the point of view of the Polish fishery sector and local communities - stressed Secretary of State Jacek Czerniak during the meeting of EU Commissioner for Fisheries and Oceans Costas Kadis with representatives of recognised fishery organisations.

On 3 September 2025, during the AGROKOMPLEX International Agricultural and Food Fair in Nitra, Slovakia, Secretary of State Jacek Czerniak met with the Slovak Secretary of State at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Vladimír Vnuk, to discuss the Multiannual Financial Framework of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) as well as the trade agreement with Ukraine. Deputy Minister Czerniak also took part in the official opening of the fair.

The Secretary of State Jacek Czerniak talked at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development with the chargé d'affaires of the People's Republic of China in Poland, Li Danhong, about the prospects for resuming the export of Polish poultry meat to the Chinese market.

Minister Stefan Krajewski received a delegation from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, headed by Marie-Claire Kengo Wa Dondo, Member of the National Assembly of the DRC and Chair of the DRC-Poland Parliamentary Group. The delegation was accompanied by Clémentine Shakembo Kamanga, Ambassador of the DRC to Poland. The meeting was chaired by Secretary of State Jacek Czerniak.

The principal topics addressed at yesterday's meeting of the EU Agriculture and Fisheries Council (AGRIFISH) in Brussels included: protein for food and feed purposes, as well as the situation on agricultural markets, particularly in the context of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The Polish delegation was headed by Secretary of State Stefan Krajewski.
