On 5 July 2022, Poland’s MFA summoned Belarusian chargé d’affaires to lodge a strong protest against the demolition of a Home Army soldiers’ cemetery in Mikulishki.

During the visit to Doha of Major General Piotr Andrzej Błazeusz, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces and Major General Pilot Dariusz Malinowski, Deputy Operational Commander of the Armed Forces, an agreement was signed on 3 July aiming at bolstering the counter-terrorism capabilities of the Qatari security forces.

On 1 July 2022 the graphics exhibition “Profanum” by Irena Lawruszko, an Ukrainian artist, was officially opened at the Diplomats' Gallery located at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It will be on display until autumn of this year. The exhibition was organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the M. Kazana Foundation.

“The world is at one of its decisive moments in its history. More than ever, parliamentarians face uncertainty about the future, and the future will be defined either by our ability to be guided by universal rules founded in our humanity, or by the whims of mighty forces,” said minister Rau. In his capacity as OSCE’s Chairman-in-Office, the head of Polish diplomacy opened a debate during the annual Parliamentary Assembly in Birmingham.

While in Helsinki, Poland’s top diplomat met with President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö, Minister for Foreign Affairs Pekka Haavisto and with Minister for European Affairs and Ownership Steering Tytti Tuppurainen. The main topics discussed were further development of bilateral cooperation, security, the situation in EU's eastern neighbourhood, Poland’s OSCE chairmanship, and regional policy.

On Monday, 4th July 2022, the head of Polish diplomacy and this year’s Chairman-in-Office of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) will take part in the 29th annual session of the Organisation’s Parliamentary Assembly.

On Friday, 1 July, a ceremony was held in Lviv to hand over 25 ambulances and supplies needed by the Ukrainian civilian population. Poland was represented by Deputy Minister Paweł Jabłoński, who together with Ukrainian administration representatives, President of Solidarity Fund PL, and Polish diplomatic corps posted in the city, handed over the equipment to our neighbours.

The Polish national abducted in Burkina Faso towards the end of April 2022 has been released in recent days. The Pole was freed as a result of flawless cooperation between the MFA, Poland’s Embassy in Dakar and Polish security institutions on the one hand and the Burkinabe authorities on the other hand, with a collaborative effort on the part of the victim’s family.

On 1 July 2022, Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau will visit the capital of Finland to meet with the country’s top politicians.

On 28-30 June 2022, Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau accompanied President Andrzej Duda during the meeting of NATO heads of state and government in Madrid.
