“Speaking about a common European strategy, one should first of all consider the perspective of threats. The problem in the European Union is that we differ in their perception,” said Minister Jacek Czaputowicz during the “Europe that projects” organised on the last day of the 56th Munich Security Conference.

On Monday, 17 February 2020, Polish foreign minister will take part in a Foreign Affairs Council session in Brussels.

On 15-16 February 2020, the head of Polish diplomacy will take part in the 56th Munich Security Conference. The main theme of this year’s conference will be the role of the West in contemporary international relations in the face of the rivalry among world powers and unresolved regional conflicts.

Bilateral cooperation, recent EU issues and current international agenda were the key points of the meeting of the Polish diplomacy chief Jacek Czaputowicz and the Principality of Liechtenstein Foreign Minister Katrin Eggenberger in Vaduz.

“The Polish Card, which has proven a success, and which became available to a wider group of foreigners, should serve Poles across the world. The card is now available to Poles or persons from Latin American countries who feel they have a bond with Polish identity,” highlighted Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk at an official ceremony during which a Brazilian resident received the first Polish Card.

Yesterday, Minister Jacek Czaputowicz, on behalf of the Polish President, handed Tomasz Czyszek his nomination to the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Malta.

We highly value the enhanced cooperation with Finland we initiated in 2011 - emphasised the chief of the Polish MFA during his two-day visit to Finland.

“Your successfully passing the diplomatic and consular exam is the best guarantee that you have been well prepared to become members of the diplomatic corps” said Minister Jacek Czaputowicz during the Tuesday ceremony to confer first diplomatic ranks at the MFA Diplomatic Academy.

Minister-Member of the Council of Ministers Konrad Szymański met with Austria’s Minister for the EU Karoline Edtstadler.

This year’s first meeting of the Foreign Economic Policy Advisory Board operating under the Minister of Foreign Affairs was chaired by the deputy MFA head Paweł Jabłoński. The representatives of entrepreneur and exporter organisations, BGK, government agencies, as well as business schools and research institutes met to discuss the promotion of the Polish economy abroad.
