Deputy Minister Maciej Lang held talks today with Vice Foreign Minister of China Wang Chao at the Polish MFA headquarters. The Chinese guest was received by Minister Czaputowicz. “Warsaw invariably regards Beijing as a very important partner,” underscored the chief of Polish diplomacy.

"The war is not over [...]. We will never agree to a different life, except in a fully sovereign, independent and fair Polish State [...]. I give you my last order. Continue your work and activities in the spirit of regaining full independence of the state,” wrote the last commander of the Home Army, General Leopold Okulicki, nom de guerre “Niedźwiadek.” Many of his soldiers listened to their commander and did not lay down arms when World War II ended. They continued their fight for a truly free homeland.

“On the international stage, Poland has been continuously supporting Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty within its internationally recognized borders. We advocate a political resolution of the problems resulting from Russia’s military aggression against sovereign Georgia,” stressed the chief of Polish diplomacy during a meeting with Irakli Kobakhidze.

“Bulgaria is a country of our friends and allies. We share many common positions and assessments regarding the current challenges facing Europe, such as Brexit,” Minister Jacek Czaputowicz said after his meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Bulgaria Ekaterina Zaharieva.

“Today more than ever, Europe needs a strong and single voice of the Visegrad Group, which acts responsibly in seeking pragmatic solutions to problems facing the European Union,” said Minister Jacek Czaputowicz during his visit today to Budapest, where he met with the chief of Hungarian diplomacy Péter Szijjártó and was a guest at the annual Hungarian ambassadors’ conference.

Helga Schmid, the Secretary General of the European External Action Service, paid a visit to the MFA on 27 February 2019 at the invitation of Secretary of State for European Affairs Konrad Szymański.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the winner of a contest for students from Polish academies of fine arts. The award-winning logo of the Western Balkans Summit, designed by Anna Laska from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, will also be used for the Polish Presidency of the Berlin Process at ministerial events and expert seminars.

“Long term peace and security can only be achieved and maintained if human rights and international humanitarian law are fully respected,” the chief of Polish diplomacy said at the UN Office in Geneva.

Minister Jacek Czaputowicz spoke by phone with Pakistani Foreign Minister Makhdoom Qureshi. The Ministers have discussed tensions in Pakistan-India relations in the wake of the terrorist attack in Kashmir that took place on 14 February.

On 26 February, Minister Jacek Czaputowicz will attend high-level meetings devoted to human rights protection, disarmament, and humanitarian aid for Yemen.
