Today’s visit of the Moldovan minister in Warsaw has mainly focused on Moldova’s accession to the European Union.

The Ministerial Session of the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) within the Finnish Presidency was attended by the foreign ministers of Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, Norway, Poland, and Sweden, the Secretary of State at the Danish MFA, and a European Union representative.

Poland's top diplomat met today with Ukrainian citizens who are studying this year at the College of Europe in Natolin thanks to the Polish Foreign Ministry's support. They will complete a one-year programme of European Interdisciplinary Studies in June 2024.

Today’s talks between Deputy Minister Jakub Wiśniewski and Deputy Foreign Minister of Guatemala Monica Bolaños Pérez were the first in this format in 20 years. The consultations were organised pursuant to the Agreement on bilateral political consultations signed last year.

Representatives of governments and experts were brought together to discuss such topics as mobilisation of the private sector to reconstruct infrastructure and boost economic recovery in Ukraine, restoration of social and human capital, resumption of effective activity in municipalities and regions, and Ukraine’s prospects to join the EU.

Today, Deputy Minister Jakub Wiśniewski hosted the ambassador of Colombia, Assad Jater Peña, and a group of Colombian women’s volleyball players at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On June 10, Plenipotentiary of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Countering International Disinformation Tomasz Chłoń and U.S. Special Envoy and Coordinator for the Global Engagement Center James P. Rubin attended the opening ceremony of Ukraine Communications Group.

On June 10th, Poland and the United States signed a Memorandum of Understanding to Counter Foreign State Information Manipulation.

The MFA’s Undersecretary of State Jakub Wiśniewski and Head of the Foreign Service Rafał Wiśniewski met with Deputy Secretary General Ahmad Rozian Abd. Ghani of Malaysia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on his visit to Warsaw for the first intergovernmental consultations since 2010.
