The consultations centred on today's international security challenges and the prospects for enhanced bilateral relations.

    Undersecretary of State Robert Kupiecki is the head of the Polish delegation at the Review Conference of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), held in New York. At the beginning of the Conference, Deputy Minister Kupiecki took part in high-level debate and held several bilateral meetings, including with deputy UN Secretary-General.

    Today, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski met in Warsaw with Ireland's Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade and Minister for Defence Helen McEntee. The two heads of diplomacy discussed Polish-Irish economic cooperation and the priorities of Ireland's Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Dublin assumes the EU presidency on 1 July.

    On 22-24 April, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Artur Harazim together with members of the Advisory Legal Committee to the Minister of Foreign Affairs participated in a study visit to Geneva. The visit was meant for exchanging information and tightening cooperation with representatives of specialised UN agencies and international organisations.

    The second edition of the Polish-Cuban Seminar centred on the Polish experience of economic transition and the reforms Cuba is currently introducing. The event, organised by the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) and the Polish Embassy in Havana with the support of the Polish foreign ministry, took place in Warsaw on 23-24 April.

    Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Department of Strategy presented the Polish Foreign Policy Strategy 2026-2030 in a meeting held today at the Faculty of International and Political Studies of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. The meeting was attended by Professor Piotr Bajor, the dean of the Faculty.

    Poland's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski and his Italian counterpart Antonio Tajani signed a Memorandum of Understanding on strategic cooperation between the two ministries during THE BRIDGE Polish-Italian forum in Rome. The document provides for regular bilateral consultations and tightened political and economic bonds on the Baltic-Mediterranean axis.
