Europe amidst new challenges is the motto of this year’s Economic Forum in Karpacz. On the second day of the Forum, the Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy Grzegorz Puda participated in panel discussions titled: Investments in regions. How are European cities and regions changing thanks to funds? and Rebuilding Ukrainian cities and regions.

More than 2.2 billion euros to be received by the Dolnośląskie voivodeship in the implementation of the cohesion policy. Minister Grzegorz Puda and the Dolnośląskie Voivodeship Executive Board have signed a Programme Contract. The document is the starting point for the formal negotiations with the European Commission regarding the European Funds for Lower Silesia 2021-2027 regional programme. The Programme Contract for Lower Silesia entails extensive support for innovativeness and energy transformation.

Modern tools respond to the needs of the local community and make living in a city more comfortable. How to invest and what to invest in for technological development to improve the attractiveness of cities? This was the topic discussed on the first day of the 31st edition of the Economic Forum in which the Vice-Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy Małgorzata Jarosińska-Jedynak participated.

The Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy and the Ministry of Finance signed an agreement with the Polish Development Fund. The agreement paves the way for the possibility of pre-financing investments that have already begun and have been submitted - under the NRP - by the particular ministries. Its signatories are Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy Grzegorz Puda, Finance Minister Magdalena Rzeczkowska and PDF Vice President Bartłomiej Pawlak.

On 28 July 2022, the Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki appointed Marcin Horała, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy (MDFRP), as Government Plenipotentiary for the Solidarity Transport Hub Poland. At the same time, Mr. Marcin Horała ceased to serve as Secretary of State at the Ministry of Infrastructure and as Government Plenipotentiary for the Solidarity Transport Hub Poland.

The world of science and technology, interesting experiments, modern technologies, education combined with fun - all this will soon be waiting for families at the Podkarpackie Centrum Nauki „Łukasiewicz” (Subcarpathian Science Center "Lukasiewicz".) The facility is being built with the support of EU funds. The implementation of the project was discussed at a meeting of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship Board. The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy, Małgorzata Jarosińska-Jedynak.

More than EUR 5 billion from the cohesion policy for 2021-2027 will be received by the Śląskie Voivodeship for the European Funds for Śląsk regional program. Grzegorz Puda, the Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy spoke about the benefits for the region and its residents in Chorzów during a local government convention attended by the Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and provincial authorities.

The assumptions of the new financial perspective for 2021-2027, with a particular focus on innovation and competitiveness as key factors in the development of the Polish economy and the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, were the main topics discussed during the Academy of Funds in Rzeszów. The meeting was attended by Grzegorz Puda, the Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy, Małgorzata Jarosińska-Jedynak, the Deputy Minister, as well as by Ewa Leniart, the Governor of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship and Władysław Ortyl, the Marshal of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship.

More than 10 thousand people from 174 countries attended WUF11 in person and more than 6 thousand people were on line with us. As a result, we were available in almost every corner of the world, the Deputy Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy Małgorzata Jarosińska-Jedynak stressed with satisfaction during the conference summarizing WUF 11. The meeting was also attended by UN-Habitat Director General Maimunah Mohd Sharif, President of Katowice Marcin Krupa, UN-Habitat Assembly President Martha Delgado and UN Economic and Social Council President Collen Kelapile.
