Inspection Department

The main task of the Inspection Department is to carry out tasks in the field of:

  • coordination and supervision, on behalf of the Chief Inspector, of the inspection activities of the voivodeship environmental protection inspectorates;
  • control of compliance with environmental protection regulations;
  • counteracting major emergencies and supervising the removal of their effects and the restoration of the environment to its proper state;
  • planning, preparing and carrying out, in cooperation with law enforcement authorities and other control bodies, inspections of entities using the environment;

conducting administrative and judicial-administrative proceedings within the scope of the Department's jurisdiction.
