On Friday 30th of June at the Valletta Design Cluster poetry lovers in Malta celebrated the 100th birth anniversary of Wisława Szymborska - the First Lady of Polish poetry.

On 15th of June we celebrate the 81st anniversary of the sinking of the Polish destroyer ORP 'Kujawiak' off the coast of Malta. Polish Ambassador to Malta Tomasz Czyszek and Consul Łukasz Felczak laid a wreath commemorating this tragedy at the plaque at the Upper Barrakka Gardens in Valletta.

On 6th of May the Picnic for the Polish Diaspora living in Malta was held at De La Salle College in Birgu. The Polish Heritage Days celebrations were organized in connection with the Day of the Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad, the Polish Flag Day and the 232nd Anniversary of the May 3rd Constitution. It was attended by over 400 people.

On 21st of April this year, Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau visited the Republic of Malta. During the visit, Minister Zbigniew Rau held political consultations with Ian Borg, Malta’s Minister for Foreign and European Affairs and Trade. Both ministers took part in the opening ceremony of the new Polish Embassy’s headquarters on Malta, along with many representatives of the diplomatic corps.

Polish and Israeli Diplomats Jointly Commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising

Dear members of the Polish community and fellow Poles, As we approach Easter, I would like to extend my best holiday greetings to all Poles and their families living abroad.

On the 24th of February an article by Polish Prime Minister entitled „5 lessons following one year of war” was published in 'The Times of Malta'.

On the 1st anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Polish Embassy in Malta together with Embassies and High Commissions of other European Union and non-EU countries are flying the Ukrainian flag as a sign of solidarity with Ukraine and Ukrainian people.

On the 24th of February, on the anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, at the Selmun Chapel in Mellieha, an event was held at the initiative of the based in Malta members of the Zmieniamy Życie Foundation. Its purpose was to commemorate the Ukrainian children who died tragically as a result of the war.
