On Saturday, 9 August 2025, Minister Marcin Kierwiński reviewed the operations, structure and challenges faced by officers responsible for border traffic and security at the Warsaw Airport. As early as October 2025, border controls will be faster and more efficient with the launch of the European Entry/Exit System (EES). Poland, as one of the first EU countries, is already fully ready to start controls using this modern, integrated European border control system.

01.08.2025A new stage in medicine - Europe's first inter-hospital operation at the MIA's State Medical InstituteOn 1 August this year, doctors working at the State Medical Institute (SMI) of the Ministry of Interior and Administration - cardiac surgeon Prof. Piotr Suwalski and urologist Dr Paweł Wisz - carried out remote robotic operations. The specialists performed robotic surgeries on patients at the Institute in Warsaw, while operating a console at the MIA hospital in Gdańsk. This was Europe's first remote surgical operation carried out in different hospitals.
