The government has decided to temporarily reinstate checks along the Polish-German and Polish-Lithuanian borders. This is a concrete and responsible decision that will bolster the security of the state its citizens. The solutions will take effect from Monday, 7 July.

It was an opportunity to set the direction and develop the agenda of the European Community. During a press conference held at the Ministry of the Interior and Administration on Monday, 30 June, Minister Tomasz Siemoniak and Deputy Minister Maciej Duszczyk summarised the Ministry's achievements in the past six months. From migration to internal security, the fight against crime, and civil protection, progress has been made in each of the stated priorities. There can only be one conclusion - this has been a successful presidency!

25.06.2025 Warsaw'We have made the fight against serious and organised crime one of the three priorities of our presidency in the area of home affairs, alongside the issues of civil protection and the fight against irregular migration. We have tried to expand our agenda in this area,' stated Minister Tomasz Siemoniak. The Minister of the Interior and Administration attended the 143rd meeting of the Europol Management Board in Warsaw on Wednesday, 25 June. Executive Director of Europol Catherine De Bolle also attended the meeting.
