05.03.2025Minister Tomasz Siemoniak comments after the JHA Council: The adopted solutions ensure our security“I am very pleased that during the Polish Presidency in the Council of the European Union coincided with such significant progress in terms of protecting our external borders. The adopted solutions are flexible, while on the other hand, they ensure our security,” the Minister of the Interior and Administration Tomasz Siemoniak said in Brussels. On Wednesday, 5 March 2025, the Minister of the Interior and Administration chaired a meeting of the Justice and Home Affairs Council. Deputy Minister Maciej Duszczyk also participated in the meeting. The Council meeting was followed by a joint press conference with Minister Tomasz Siemoniak and EU Commissioner for Home Affairs and Migration Magnus Brunner.

The head of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration travelled to Sweden at the invitation of the Swedish Minister of Civil Defence, Carl-Oskar Bohlin. The meeting was a follow-up to the talks that took place on 2 October 2024 in Warsaw. The discussion revolved around the challenges concerning protecting the European populace, civil defence and the need to strengthen our resilience. Deputy Ministers Maciej Duszczyk and Wiesław Leśniakiewicz also participated in the talks.

14.02.2025The Minister of the Interior and Administration holds talks with the Deputy Prime Minister of UkraineOn Friday, 14 February, Minister of the Interior and Administration and Coordinator of Special Services Tomasz Siemoniak met with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Unity of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov for the second time this year. Their talks revolved around issues pertaining to the stay of Ukrainian war refugees in Poland. Deputy Minister Maciej Duszczyk also participated in the talks.

07.02.2025Minister Tomasz Siemoniak attends the meeting with the College of CommissionersIn connection with the Polish presidency in the Council of the European Union, the College of Commissioners meeting took place at the European Solidarity Centre in Gdansk on 6–7 February 2025. The Polish side was chaired by Prime Minister Donald Tusk, and the delegation of European Commissioners was led by the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen. The meeting was attended by Minister Tomasz Siemoniak.
