Iraq i Iraqi Kurdistan

Poland has been providing humanitarian aid to Iraqi Kurdistan since 2015.

We give support in response to the protracted crisis caused by the conflict that ravages the country. The crisis has resulted in mass internal migration in Iraq.

Poland’s humanitarian aid involved satisfying the basic needs of Iraqi people, including food, financial support, providing children and youth with access to education, as well as offering adult Iraqis professional training. In recent years our help has focused on ensuring access to health care, including rehabilitation and dental services.

The recipients of Polish Aid were mainly internally displaced persons (including the Yazidi minority), Syrian refugees and their host communities.
