Palestine
Palestine has been one of priority countries of Poland’s Official Development Assistance since 2007.
Our assistance activities focus on the development of human capital, agriculture and rural areas, as well as entrepreneurship and the private sector.
In recent years, Polish Aid has co-financed a number of projects addressed to persons with disabilities, women, and youth. The projects aimed to enhance vocational activity of these groups of beneficiaries. The objectives of these projects were, among other things, to improve the conditions of health care and education, to support women’s entrepreneurship, and to create earning opportunities for young Palestinians.
Additionally, since 2007, Poland has been supporting the efforts of the United Nations Relief and Work Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) through contributions to the general budget or in response to specific requests for help to meet Palestinians’ most urgent needs.
