Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki met with European Commissioner for Internal Market Thierry Breton in Nowa Dęba. The meeting focused on the joint purchase of ammunition by EU countries and on increasing the production capacity of the Polish arms industry. The two topics were raised by the head of the Polish government at the European Council meeting. Poland will receive the most funds from the European Peace Facility (EPF) for the purchase of ammunition and military equipment. A strengthened arms industry, larger stocks of ammunition and modern equipment will directly strengthen Poland's defence potential.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki attended the March European Council in Brussels. The Polish PM discussed with European leaders issues related to the war in Ukraine, potential improvements in the European single market and migration, which affects EU countries to varying degrees. Topics related to Russian aggression against Ukraine remain key and form the most important part of the talks. The abduction of Ukrainian children by the Russian Federation, the extension of sanctions against Belarus and the European Peace Facility were discussed.

Almost a year has passed since Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki met Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in Brussels. The topic of discussion at the time was Russia's aggression against Ukraine. Today, the leaders of the countries met again. They continued on the topic of the current situation in Ukraine and the multifaceted support for the country in its fight against the Russian aggressor. The visit of the Japanese Prime Minister was also an opportunity to discuss the prospects for the development of Polish-Japanese cooperation, in particular in terms of the economy and investments.

The arrival of spring is an opportunity to take stock of the winter season. The package of solutions introduced by the government has enabled all Poles to get through this period safely. PLN 2,000 a year - that is how much an average Polish family will save thanks to the government's Solidarity Shield. As a result of concrete action, we are less affected by the war and the energy crisis. We have introduced shields and fuel purchase allowances, lowered high energy prices and ensured the availability of coal.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki visited the Ruprecht Karl University of Heidelberg. It is the oldest university in Germany and one of the most renowned in Europe. The Polish Prime Minister delivered a speech at Heidelberg University. The main theme of the speech was Europe at a historic turning point. The Prime Minister also addressed the importance of European values in the face of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki held talks in Warsaw with Oleksandr Kubrakov, Vice Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine – the Minister for Communities and Territories Development and Infrastructure of Ukraine. The politicians discussed the current situation in Ukraine in relation to Russian aggression.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki met with President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel. This is his first official visit to Poland after the Czech President took office. The leaders' meeting was an opportunity to discuss current issues concerning bilateral and regional cooperation. The leaders also addressed military and energy security issues, primarily the challenges of the ongoing Russian aggression against Ukraine. Strong support from all EU countries to ensure the security of Ukraine and Europe as a whole is crucial.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki hosted Latvian Prime Minister Arturs Krišjānis Kariņš. The politicians met in Warsaw to discuss current bilateral and international issues. During the meeting, the discussion focused primarily on further prospects for actions to strengthen the security of our region of Europe. The Prime Ministers discussed cooperation within NATO and support for Ukraine in its defence against Russian invaders. They also discussed the expansion of energy infrastructure in our region and the energy security of our countries. The head of the Polish government also talked about key European issues with his Latvian counterpart. Latvia will take over the Presidency of the Council of Europe in the coming months, hence the importance of discussing the future agenda for our continent.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki took part in the conference “Polish-Ukrainian Partnership in Building Future Energy Security”. During the event, he emphasised the need for investment in energy and critical infrastructure. He presented new plans for the expansion of the gas and energy network. One of the current challenges is the search for new sources of gas in various regions, including Ukraine. The Polish government has so far taken a number of measures to become independent of Russian resources, including an investment in a floating gas terminal, the expansion of the oil port in Gdańsk and the planned construction of a nuclear power plant. The implementation of the plans and the finalisation of the investments will strengthen security in Poland and Central Europe.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki held talks with Prime Minister of Iceland Katrín Jakobsdóttir in Warsaw. The meeting was an opportunity to discuss key bilateral issues - including the role of the Polish community living in Iceland. The politicians also discussed current international topics.
