    The Government has actively helped Polish companies cope with the negative effects of the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Support from the Anti-Crisis Shield was aimed at protecting jobs and ensuring financial liquidity for enterprises. Over PLN 240 billion went into the economy in various forms. Now we will also continue to act and intervene until we return to stable economic times. In Biała Podlaska, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki visited Bialcon, where he spoke about state aid to entrepreneurs.

    The expansion and modernisation of the army, active membership in NATO as well as the Law on the Defense of the Fatherland have been the main pillars of strengthening Poland’s defenses in recent years. The draft budget for 2023 foresees an increase in spending on the defense of our country from 2.2% to 3% of its GDP. This means over PLN 97 billion, which will be allocated to developing the Polish army.

In the 2023 budget, we will maintain all existing social programmes and will continue to develop them. Next year, we will allocate over PLN 40 billion to implementing "500+" alone.     Cooperation between central government and local government is very important. This kind of cooperation enables new investments to be made throughout Poland, close to its residents. This is possible thanks to government programmes such as the Government’s Strategic Investment Program. In addition, this year, local authorities throughout the country will receive PLN 13.7 billion for various types of projects. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has visited Łochów, where residents can use the road viaduct over the Rail Baltica route. This investment has improved communications and also significantly increased the safety of drivers and pedestrians.

    For the Government, health care is and will always be one of the top priorities. The 2023 budget foresees an increase in expenditure on health care to over 6% of the country’s GDP. In 2015, expenditure on health care amounted to approx. PLN 78 billion. In 2023, it is expected to be about PLN 165 billion. This will allow for further investments, modernisation of infrastructure, digitisation, as well as the employment of new staff and use of modern therapies. Investments in health care are being carried out on an ongoing basis. "Our duty is to make further investments in medical staff and provide salary increases in this sector as well as modern and efficient health care," said Prime Minister said during his visit to Wołomin.

The Head of the Government said that every young man who fell in love with this game would be a good and wise Pole. The Prime Minister opened the game by making the first chess move.

    In Bydgoszcz, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has participated in a ceremony commemorating the victims of German crimes in the autumn of 1939. Among other things, in the so-called Valley of Death, the Germans carried out the mass murder of the inhabitants of Bydgoszcz and the surrounding area. Poland has never received any reparation for the German crimes. The Head of the Government also took part in the celebrations of the 42nd anniversary of the signing of the Jastrzębie Agreement. One of its achievements was winning free Saturdays for all Polish workers.

    Despite the passage of years since the end of World War II, it is still an open question how wealthy and strong the Polish state and its citizens would be if it had not been for the mass extermination of the population and the war destruction. The irretrievable loss of intellectual, cultural and economic potential has not yet been fully studied. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki participated in the presentation of the “Report on the losses suffered by Poland as a result of the German aggression and occupation during World War II in the years 1939-1945” at the Royal Castle in Warsaw. Poland lost over 5 million of its citizens as a result of World War II. The team estimated the war damage at PLN 6 trillion, 220 billion and 609 million.

    Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has taken part in the celebrations of the 83rd anniversary of German aggression against Poland in Wieluń. The town was the first victim of the war. Without declaring any hostilities beforehand, the Germans dropped bombs on this defenseless city at 4:40 a.m.
