01.08.2022On the 1st of August 1944 at 5:00 p.m. (“W” Hour) the Warsaw Uprising started. For 63 days, the Insurgents fought for the freedom and independence of the capital. Each year, we honour their memory. The anniversary celebrations were attended by the head of the Polish government. He emphasised the role of the Warsaw Uprising and thanked the Insurgents for their sacrifice and the fight for freedom at any cost. The Prime Minister also met with the Insurgents in the gardens of the Chancellery.

01.08.2022On Monday, the head of the Polish government took part in a meeting with the Governor General of Australia. Among other things, the politicians discussed bilateral cooperation between our countries. The main topics included Russia's aggression against Ukraine and the associated energy security. Governor David Hurley's visit to Poland is an important part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries

29.07.2022 ToruńThe head of the Polish government visited the revitalisation area of Philadelphia Boulevard (Bulwar Filadelfijski) in Toruń. A two-kilometre strip of the Vistula waterfront will be renovated with support from the Strategic Investment Programme in the amount of PLN 30 million. In addition, the Prime Minister saw the Józef Piłsudski Bridge whose expansion was completed this year. This was also made possible thanks to funds from the state budget.

As part of the program for the Polish countryside, we have introduced numerous solutions to facilitate farmers' work and development. It is farmers who provide us with food security, and with their hard work they contribute to Poland's development. The prime minister met with farmers in Kozki to thank them for their work on behalf of our country and to talk about current challenges.

27.07.2022Consultations between the Governments of Poland and Spain have become a permanent fixture in the calendar of the two countries, with this year marking the 14th time they were held. During the meeting, Prime Ministers Mateusz Morawiecki and Pedro Sánchez discussed matters of utmost importance, including border security, war in Ukraine, energy security and inflation which affects many countries. The Head of the Polish Government summed up the intergovernmental consultations as very successful.

23.07.2022Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki visited the construction site of the St Joseph's hospice in Pogorzelice. By a decision of the Prime Minister, the investment received funding of PLN 800,000 last year, representing 28 per cent of the value of the project. This investment demonstrates maturity and social empathy and shows how local determination can produce results. This type of initiatives are held in the highest regard.

18.07.2022There is nothing more important for the Government than ensuring the health and safety of Poles. Therefore, we are constantly striving to improve the health care system. This will be possible through consistent increases in funding. In 2019, for the first time ever, public expenditure on health care exceeded PLN 100 billion. In the next 5 years, health expenditure will increase to 7 per cent of GDP. It will reach 6 per cent of GDP already in 2023. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki met with the members of an Amazon Women Association in the National Research Institute of Oncology in Gliwice. He talked about the National Oncology Strategy for 2020-2030, for which we will allocate PLN 5.1 billion.

18.07.2022Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki visited Żywiec. At the Żywiec Lake, the head of the government announced a series of projects that will be implemented there in the coming period. The main investment will be the cleaning and desludging of the Żywiec Lake. Apart from that, the residents of the region and tourists will gain new bike and pedestrian paths, as well as berths for yachts and sailing boats, new beaches and safe descents to the lake.

18.07.2022The Government focuses on supporting entrepreneurship, also at local level. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki took part in the opening of the Commune Business Incubator in Trzciana, which will create better conditions for the development of micro, small and medium-sized businesses. The incubator will be available for companies from the Trzciana commune and other communes of the Bochnia district.

17.07.2022The government is focusing on the development of inland navigation. After years of neglect and underfunding, this sector became part of a long-term state policy. Today, we are adjusting Poland's position in terms of the full use of all modes of transport to be level with that of other European countries. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki visited the currently modernised lock and control room at the Januszkowice water barrage on the Oder River. The investment, to which we are allocating PLN 200 million, serves to ensure stable and secure conditions for navigation on the Oder Waterway.
