Thanks to a Government subsidy, the establishment was able to open a Genetics Laboratory at the Department of Laboratory Diagnostics.

We are struggling with the effects of the pandemic and interrupted supply chains as well as the consequences of the war in Ukraine. Access to raw materials and inflation also play a huge role. Therefore, in order to meet the needs of Poles, the Prime Minister announced new Treasury bonds. It is a safe and beneficial solution that protects our savings.

The CoFE was an unprecedented initiative that involved a year of discussion, debate and collaboration between citizens, NGOs, politicians and other stakeholders. 06.05.2022Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki visited the Volunteer Fire Brigade (OSP) in Kroczewo, Mazovia. During his visit, the head of Polish government handed over to 8 firefighters a decision on benefits for rescue services and presented the flag of Poland to the head of the Fire Brigade. In 2022, for the first time in the history of Poland, a legal act with the rank of an Act came into force that comprehensively regulates the organisation and functioning of the Volunteer Fire Department. Thanks to it, the firefighters, upon reaching the retirement age, will be able to receive an additional benefit of PLN 200 a month. Furthermore, legal protection of firefighters has been strengthened and training for the Volunteer Fire Department will be provided, financed from the state budget.

05.05.2022The International Donors' Conference to support Ukraine, held at the National Stadium in Warsaw, has just ended. The event was organised at the initiative of the Prime Ministers of Poland and Sweden and the main goal was to raise funds for the war-torn eastern neighbour of Poland. Over EUR 6.3 billion was raised during the conference and the funds will be used for further humanitarian aid. The President of the European Council and the President of the European Commission were partners of the event. The conference was also attended by the heads of state and government, representatives of global business and financial institutions, as well as representatives of international humanitarian institutions.

04.05.2022On 5 May 2022, a High-Level International Donors’ Conference for Ukraine will be held at the National Stadium in Warsaw. The event was initiated by Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson. The event partners include the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, and the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. The aim of the initiative is humanitarian support for Ukraine.

29.04.2022The Polish Prime Minister met with Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala in Warsaw. The talks focused on bilateral relations and the current situation in Ukraine caused by brutal Russian aggression. Mateusz Morawiecki declared that Poland would help our southern neighbours to become energy independent from Russia. Poland and the Czech Republic will also jointly apply to the European Commission for new EU funds to support refugees from Ukraine.

The talks focused on Russian aggression in Ukraine and energy security issues. The most important thing for the whole of Europe is to impose more far-reaching sanctions to suppress Putin’s war machine.

25.04.2022Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki visited the Central Mine Rescue Station in Bytom today. In connection with the tragic events at the Pniówek and Zofiówka mines, he announced a thorough review of all procedures and a comprehensive analysis of the entire situation. He also assured state support for the families of miners who tragically died. As the PM emphasised, it was a bleak week for the Polish mining industry.

25.04.2022As a result of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and Russia’s deliberate policy of maintaining high oil and gas prices, the whole of Europe is facing high inflation, known as “Putinflation”. One consequence of this situation is higher interest rates and increased loan repayments. The government recognises these problems and wants to provide support for families with mortgages in zloty. This includes “payment holidays” and subsidies for instalment payments. About 2 million families will be able to receive such assistance. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki presented detailed solutions during the European Economic Congress.
