On All Saints' Day, the Polish Consul in South Africa, Robert Rusiecki, and the Polish community gathered for a Holy Mass at Westpark Cemetery in Johannesburg. Employees of the Polish Embassy in Pretoria also laid a wreath at the Katyn Monument.
The ceremony took place on November 2, 2025. The Polish Consul and his wife honored the Poles buried at Westpark Cemetery in Johannesburg. The Holy Mass was celebrated next to the Polish Garden of Remembrance. Representatives of the Polish community prayed together for their deceased compatriots.
In keeping with tradition, representatives of the Polish Embassy also laid a wreath at the Katyn Monument in Johannesburg.
On these days, we remember those who passed away in 2025. We especially remember the late Fr. Jadwiga Dubla, long-time President of the Polish Association in Cape Town, President of the Polish Diaspora Council in South Africa, Member of the Polish Diaspora Consultative Council to the Speaker of the Senate of the Republic of Poland, awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta, who passed away on 24 October this year.
