Please note that the emergency telephone number is dedicated to Polish citizens in emergency situations out of office hours (death, accident, arrest, lost passport). No questions related to visa applications, legalisation of documents and other regular consular matters will be answered on this line.

The following visa-related services do not require an appointment:
Collections of visas & documents, as well as deliveries of missing documents for visa applications, may be done:
- Mondays: 13:00-14:00
- Tuesdays - Fridays: 12:00-13:00
Visa appeals may be submitted:
- Mondays: 13:00-14:00
- Tuesdays - Thursdays: 12:00-13:00
The Embassy of the Republic of Poland strongly warns against making use of unscrupulous agents’ services when applying for visas to Poland. The Embassy and the Consulate does NOT collaborate with any visa agents.
Complaints and applications
The person designated in the office accepts complaints and applications for the office's operation on every working Friday between 10.00-11.00
Complaints about the service of clients of the office and applications regarding the functioning of the consular office may be submitted:
- in writing to the address 14 Amos str, Colbyn 0083, Pretoria,
- in electronic form to the e-mail address: konsulat.pretoria@msz.gov.pl with the note: COMPLAINTS AND APPLICATIONS
- in person at the specified time orally for the record
Anonymous complaints and applications, which do not contain personal and contact details of the applicant, are left unrecognized.
Consular outreach
The Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Pretoria informs about the next passport duty in Cape Town which has been scheduled for the following dates:
- 19 August (Wednesday), 9:30 - 17:30
- 20 August (Thursday), 9:30 - 16:30
- 21 August (Friday), 9:30 - 14:30

To register for an appointment, please contact Mrs. Danuta Cieśla, President of the Polish Association in Cape Town, by phone at 083 661 2734. Registration is open from August 3rd (Monday) to August 14th (Friday), STRICTLY between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
PLEASE NOTE: Registration will not be accepted outside of these hours!
PLEASE NOTE: Prior registration is strictly mandatory for the consular duty. Unregistered individuals will not be admitted.
We kindly remind that while applying for a passport you need to present:
- previous Polish passport (or a decision confirming your Polish citizenship – in case of applying for your first Polish passport);
- other valid proof of identity, e.g. South African passport (if the Polish passport is no longer valid);
- 1 color photo (not older than 6 months, on a light background, the face should occupy 70-80% of the photo);
- marriage certificate registered in Poland (in the case of a change of name in the passport);
- child's birth certificate (in the case of applying for a passport for a minor child). Presence of both parents with their valid IDs is mandatory;
- fee in cash: ZAR 2722 for a biometric passport for an adult; persons over 70 years of age - no fee; children below 12 – ZAR 875; 50% discount (ZAR 1361) - only after documenting ongoing studies or pension entitlements from Poland; temporary passport - ZAR 973 (same fee for everyone).
