ATTENTION! Compulsory quarantine upon arrival in Poland from South Africa
06.05.2021
The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Pretoria kindly informs that from May 6 this year the amended epidemic ordinance enters into force on the establishment of certain restrictions, orders and bans in connection with the outbreak of the epidemic in Poland.
The regulation modifies the provisions on the obligation to undergo compulsory 10-day quarantine after crossing the border of the Republic of Poland by a person who has started a journey from the territory of the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Republic of India or South Africa.
The period of implementation of the quarantine obligation by the above-mentioned person is shortened if the person obtained a negative result of the diagnostic test for SARS-CoV-2 performed after crossing the border of the Republic of Poland within a period not earlier than 7 days from the moment of crossing it.
In relation to other travellers entering Poland from other countries - such a test can be performed within 48 hours from the day of crossing the border, and its negative result exempts from the quarantine obligation.
