Consular Outreach in Port Elizabeth

04.09.2026

The Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Pretoria kindly informs you about the consular outreach in Port Elizabeth, which will take place on October 9-10, 2026. The exact location and times of service will be announced in a separate announcement at the end of September or beginning of October.

The consular outreach

During this service, only passport applications will be accepted.

For visa, citizenship, civil status transcription, and other matters, please contact the Consular Section in Pretoria directly.

Please also note that the consul does not transport passports for applicants.

Passport applications will be accepted in Port Elizabeth on the following dates:

- Friday, October 9 (afternoon/evening)

- Saturday, October 10 (morning)

REGISTRATION FOR AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE CONSUL

Registration for the service is mandatory. Those who have not registered will not be served.

In order to register, please send an email to the Consular Section of the Polish Embassy in Pretoria: konsulat.pretoria@msz.gov.pl ONLY between Thursday, 1 October, and Sunday, 4 October, 2026. Registrations will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

In the subject line, please write "DYZUR Port Elizabeth 9-10/10/2026."

This will make your message easier to find. The Consulate receives between dozens and several hundred emails every day. Therefore, a correct subject line will be helpful.

In your emails, please provide:

first name,

last name,

date of birth,

PESEL number

of each person for whom the passport application will be submitted

and the preferred day of the visit.

After registration, i.e., after October 10, you will receive the date and time of your appointment with the consul in response to your email. In case of too many visitors for the available number of time slots, those who cannot receive their appointments will receive a reply informing them that the appointments have been filled.

PREPARING TO SUBMIT A PASSPORT APPLICATION

To submit a passport application, you must provide:

- your PESEL number

- your previous Polish passport (except for applying for a first passport)

- another valid ID, e.g., a Polish ID card, South African passport, or other foreign passport or ID card

- 1 color photo (no older than 6 months, against a light background, with the face occupying 70-80% of the photo)

- a marriage certificate registered in Poland (if changing the name on the passport)

- a child's birth certificate registered in Poland (if applying for a child's passport). Both parents must be present.

- a cash fee of R2,722 (for individuals over 70 years of age – no fee, children under 12 years of age – R875, 50% discount – only with proof of ongoing studies or pension entitlements from Poland).

We would be very grateful if you have the exact amount, as giving change outside the office can be difficult.
