The Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Pretoria kindly informs about the consular duty in Cape Town, which will take place from September 6, 2024 to September 9, 2024.

On August 22, 2024, the Polish Association of Siberian Deportees in Southeast Africa in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Pretoria and the Johannesburg Holocaust & Genocide Centre organized a screening of the documentary film "Memory is our homeland" directed by Jonathan Durand.

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Pretoria is looking for a person to work in the administrative and financial section as an Ambassador driver.

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Pretoria organized 6 lectures with the participation of Dr Beata Górka-Winter and the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to South Africa Adam Burakowski in the period of 9.07.2024 till 12.07.2024. The events were held in South Africa and Lesotho.

On 1 July 2024, Poland for the seventh time begins its one-year presidency of the Visegrad Group (V4) under the motto “V4: Back to Basics.” It refers to the foundations of Visegrad cooperation such as freedom, human rights, the rule of law, and commitment to the process of European integration and cooperation for security in Europe.

Today, Minister Radosław Sikorski received 12 ambassadors of African states accredited to Poland. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss Poland–Africa relations and prospects for enhancing cooperation.

On 21 June 2024, the South African Museum of Military History in Johannesburg hosted a screening of the film "Polonia" directed by Łukasz Pater, a Polish emigrant who found himself in South Africa in the 1980s. In the film, which was part of his doctoral thesis, the author showed the fate of his family against the background of events in Poland and around the world.

The Africa’s Big 7 food fair took place in Johannesburg on June 11-13, 2024. Six Polish companies from the agri-food sector took part in it: Vilmar, Baltiven, Bromex, Fermy Woźniak, Spiżarnia, Euro, Eurocast. Ambassador Adam Burakowski visited the Polish stand at the AfricaBig7 trade fair in Johannesburg organized by PAIH. The trade fair included very good B2B meetings.
