Polish documentary film "Amphibians. Pioneers of life on land" awarded in South Africa

The Polish documentary film "Amphibians. Pioneers of life on land" directed by Sławomir Skupiński and Elżbieta Trzonek won the silver award at the International Tour Film Festival - Africa 2025 (ITFFA). The awards ceremony took place on June 6, 2025 in Johannesburg.
The festival presented 488 films from 60 countries. Poland presented 4 films at the festival. The company "Polish State Forests" has already been awarded this prestigious award for the fourth time.
The film "Amphibians. Pioneers of life on land" aims to draw special attention of viewers to amphibians that are disappearing from the natural environment at an alarming rate. Unique photos reveal to viewers an extremely interesting world of these animals.
The documentary was made at the Forest Film Studio, which was recently nominated for a star on the Lodz Walk of Fame, as an institution distinguished for Polish nature film.
