Polish-Mozambican talks at the Global Gateway Forum 2026 in Maputo with the participation of the National Chamber of Commerce

The development of bilateral economic relations, particularly in the areas of energy, transport, agriculture, and new technologies, was the main topic of the Polish-Mozambican B2B conference, organized on the sidelines of the Global Gateway Forum 2026 in Maputo. Representatives of the National Chamber of Commerce (KIG) and the Mozambican Chamber of Commerce (Confederação das Associações Económicas de Moçambique - ) signed a letter of intent regarding bilateral cooperation.
A mission of the National Chamber of Commerce led by KIG President Marek Kłoczko, visited Mozambique from June 8-12, 2026. Polish business representatives participated in the Global Gateway Forum 2026, a joint initiative of the Mozambican government, the EU Delegation, EU Member States, and the Investment and Export Promotion Agency (APIEX). The delegation also met with members of the national and local administration. The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Pretoria was represented by Chargé d’Affaires Jacek Chodorowicz and Head of the Political and Economic Department Piotr Kruze.
The event, inaugurated by President Daniel Chapo, attracted numerous entrepreneurs, investors, and politicians. Four Global Gateway agreements were signed between EU partners and Mozambique, totaling €178 million (concerning electricity infrastructure, digital transformation, sustainable supply chains, and education).
Global Gateway is the European Union's 2021 strategy for smart, clean, and secure connections in the digital, energy, and transport sectors, as well as for improving healthcare, education, and research systems worldwide.
