19.05.2023
The largest agricultural fair in Sub-Saharan Africa - NAMPO Harvest Day - took place in Bothaville, South Africa on 16 - 19 May 2023. This event is intended primarily for farmers and livestock breeders, distributors of agricultural machinery and food processing machinery, fertilizer distributors and tractor manufacturers. Representatives of the state administration of many countries also participated in the fair. Annually organized fairs attract over 80,000 exhibitors and visitors.
This year, the South African Branch of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) based in Johannesburg organized a Polish national stand at the fair. The Polish agri-food sector was represented by Pronar, MB Pneumatica and Takoni, offering agricultural equipment and machinery along with their full service. In addition, two other Polish entities – SaMasz and Metal-Fach – presented their products through OrbachAgri. The Polish national stand was visited by Adam Burakowski, Polish Ambassador to South Africa.
Participation in the fair allows attendees to establish new, key contacts in the agricultural sector, which is a priority on the South African market.
