Premiere of the film "Polonia" in Johannesburg

On 21 June 2024, the South African Museum of Military History in Johannesburg hosted a screening of the film "Polonia" directed by Łukasz Pater, a Polish emigrant who found himself in South Africa in the 1980s. In the film, which was part of his doctoral thesis, the author showed the fate of his family against the background of events in Poland and around the world.
The screening was opened by Ambassador Adam Burakowski. Polish Consul Robert Rusiecki was also present. The event was attended by about 80 people. The event was organized by the Warsaw Flights Commemoration Organising Committee in cooperation with the Polish Embassy in Pretoria.
