The event attracted many audiences, including the citizens of Pretoria, representatives of the diplomatic corps, artistic and academic circles, and the Polish and Ukrainian diaspora. The occasional speech was delivered by the Ukrainian Ambassador to South Africa, Liubov Abravitova, and the Head of the Political and Economic Department in Pretoria, Jarosław Spyra. The speeches referred to Russia's aggression against Ukraine, traumatic experiences related to the war, especially among children, as well as the exhibition "Mom, I don't want war". Ambassador Abravitova expressed her warm thanks to Poland for the unlimited and selfless help provided to the war-torn Ukraine. During the event, a Ukrainian artist, Nadia Pryimak, performed, accompanied by a bandura, a traditional Ukrainian instrument. She sang a number of well-known and popular Ukrainian and Polish songs, including "Hey, Falcons! / Hej, Sokoły!" in Polish.
