Screening of the film "Warsaw Uprising" in Johannesburg

The Warsaw Flights Commemoration Organizing Committee together with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Pretoria and the South African Air Force Association (SAAFA Johannesburg) invite you to the screening of the film "Warsaw Uprising" on Friday, 28 July 2023 at 6:00 PM to Ditsong National Museum of Military History in Johannesburg.
"Warsaw Uprising" is the world's first feature film assembled entirely from documentary materials, telling the story of the title event through the story of two young reporters, witnesses of the insurgent fights. The film uses authentic newsreels from August 1944. Using modern technology of colorization and reconstruction of audio-visual materials and inviting a group of eminent artists to cooperate, its authors have implemented a project that has no equivalent on a global scale. The film was produced by the Warsaw Uprising Museum in 2014.
Admission is free, and light snacks and drinks will be served before the movie.
