02.10.2021On 1 October 2021 in Piotrków Trybunalski, the Vice-Minister of Climate and Environment, Edward Siarka, inaugurated the #SadziMY action by planting trees together with the Presidential Couple. The public administration employees, scouts, soldiers, firemen and State Forests employees planted pines, beeches and mountain ashes at the area of more than 3 ha in the Wolborski Wood at the outskirts of Piotrków Trybunalski.

29.09.2021On 28 September 2021, Vice-Ministers of Climate and Environment, Ireneusz Zyska and Piotr Dziadzio, attended the 7th Polish Geothermal Congress. The discussions focused on development of geothermal energy use in Poland.

27.09.2021Works on the draft “revision the Act on amending the act on renewable energy sources and certain other acts” in the Ministry of Climate and Environments are under way. The purpose of the new solutions is primarily to increase the share of renewable energy sources (RES) in the national energy consumption,. They also aim at further promotion of the energy sector development following the ambitions to reduce emissions in the economy and meet the international obligations.

22.09.2021Vice-Minister of Climate and Environment, Edward Siarka, met in Brussels with the EU Commissioner for Agriculture Janusz Wojciechowski. The discussions focused on the forestry strategy and the forestry management in the EU.

21.09.2021The conference is held on 20-24 September 2021 in Vienna. Due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, the event is organised in the hybrid formula. The Head of the Polish delegation participated in the meeting remotely.

20.09.2021On request of the Minister of Climate and Environment Michał Kurtyka, the President of the Council of Ministers Mateusz Morawiecki appointed Michał Pietrzak the Chief Inspector of Environmental Protection. The new Chief Inspector was nominated on 17 September.

17.09.2021The third meetings of the ministers of the Partnership for Transatlantic Energy and Climate Cooperation (P-TECC) will be held on 22 and 23 September in Warsaw. More than 100 participants of the event will discuss the priority issues in the area of energy policy, technological innovations, their implementation and investments.

09.09.2021“Establishment of the Lower Silesian Hydrogen Valley will enable innovative industrial undertakings and strategic investment projects based on hydrogen, in close cooperation with the business and scientific environment” – said the Minister of Climate and Environment Michał Kurtyka when signing the “Letter of intent for the establishment of the Lower Silesian Hydrogen Valley”. The event, that took place on 9 September 2021 in Karpacz, was also attended by the President of the Council of Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, Vice-Minister of Climate and Environment Ireneusz Zyska and the representatives of the industry.
