    On 5 May, Minister Zbigniew Rau met in Warsaw with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jan Lipavský. This was the first time the Czech minister visited Poland after he assumed the position in the autumn of 2021.

    On May 3-4, 2022, the Head of the Foreign Service, Arkady Rzegocki, visited Dublin to meet with senior representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Ireland and discuss the organization and functioning of the foreign service. The Head of the Foreign Service also met the representatives of the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions to discuss cooperation with Polish analytical and research institutions and the promotion of Polish candidates for employment in EU institutions. An important element of the program was the participation in the celebrations of the May 3rd National Day and a meeting with representatives of the oldest Polish diaspora organizations in Ireland.

    An official conclusion of the exhibition, entitled Beyond Time (Ultra Tempus) took place on April 28, 2022, at the Diplomats' Gallery in the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at al. Szucha 21. Visitors to the Diplomatic Protocol Office could view it from January of this year. The exhibition was organized in cooperation the Mariusz Kazana Foundation.

    Poland welcomes the resolution of the World Tourism Organization General Assembly suspending Russia’s membership of the Organization, adopted on 27 April 2022 in Madrid. Due to Russia’s military aggression on Ukraine, the Russian Federation has been suspended in its rights as member of the World Tourism Organization. Russia’s brutal attack on Ukraine is a flagrant violation of the Organization’s primary goal, which is the development of tourism with a view to contributing to economic development, international understanding, peace, and respect for, and observance of human rights.

    On the second day of his visit to New Delhi, Minister Zbigniew Rau took part in the international Raisina Dialogue conference, considered to be India’s largest forum on key geopolitical and economic issues. This year’s edition, whose honorary guest was President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, focused on major challenges to the emerging new international order.

    During today’s meeting with India’s Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, the head of Polish diplomacy emphasised that India is one of Poland’s key economic partners in Asia. Minister Rau expressed his hope that restoring bilateral trade, particularly exports from Poland, after the COVID-19 pandemic will be of lasting nature.

    On 25-27 April, Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau will visit India. This will be the first visit of a Polish foreign minister to India in nine years. It comes during Poland’s OSCE chairmanship, with the main purpose to take part in the Raisina Dialogue international conference on 25-26 April.
