The situation in Syria, Turkish activity in the Exclusive Economic Zone of Cyprus and the developments in Ukraine were in the focus of the Foreign Affairs Council session in Luxembourg on the 14 October.

On Monday, 14 October, the minister of foreign affairs will take part in a meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council in Luxembourg.

Poland and the United States convened the Warsaw Process Working Group on Human Rights October 10 to 11 in Washington, D.C.

“The tradition of reciprocal contacts between Poland and Sweden should be an inspiration for our further joint efforts to build a safe, prosperous, inclusive and democratic European Union,” emphasised Deputy Minister Konrad Szymański during his visit to Stockholm on 11-12 October on the occasion of the celebrations marking the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Polish-Swedish diplomatic relations.

On Friday, during a debate at the National School of Public Administration, Minister Czaputowicz presented the achievements of Polish foreign policy in 2015-2019 and outlined the plans for the coming years.

“The airport is a symbolic place of farewells and welcomes, departures and returns. It makes us think of the freedom of travel, freedom in general, and the awaited moment of homecoming, the return to one’s homeland,” said Deputy Minister Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk in Poznan when signing of an agreement on assistance provided at airports to repatriates from Kazakhstan, arriving to settle in Poland.

– The agreement signed today reflects Poland’s engagement in a peaceful resolution of international disputes and protection of inviolable human rights, also by defending them on a global arena – said Minister Jacek Czaputowicz during the signing ceremony.

Deputy Ministers Konrad Szymański and Marcin Przydacz took part in discussions on Poland’s role in the European Union and on Eastern policy, organised jointly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Regional Centres for International Debate.
