“We are gravely concerned about the situation in the Persian Gulf. In order to ease the tensions, the US and Europe need to cooperate,” Undersecretary of State at the MFA Marcin Przydacz said during an informal debate of the EU foreign ministers (Gymnich) in Finland’s capital.

“I welcome Minister Borrell’s second visit to Poland in the year that marks the centenary of the renewal of Polish-Spanish diplomatic relations and the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of the Second World War,” Minister Jacek Czaputowicz said after his Friday meeting with Spain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, the European Union and Cooperation Josep Borrell Fontelles.

“We appreciate India’s international position. India is the second largest country in the world, a G20 member with a dynamic economy, an active UN member and one of the most important Asian countries, whose activity and leverage on the international stage keep growing,” said Minister Jacek Czaputowicz during today’s visit of India’s Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar to Warsaw.

Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Canada, Estonia, Finland, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Ukraine, United Kingdom and United Sates of America do not recognize the legitimacy of the so-called ‘presidential elections’ held in Georgia’s Abkhazia region by the de facto authorities in Sokhumi on August 25, 2019, and will not acknowledge their outcome. Similarly, we do not recognize the legitimacy or outcome of the so-called ‘parliamentary elections’ held in Georgia’s South Ossetia/Tskhinvali region on June 9, 2019.

“We have strong relations with Kuwait that go long back in time. We are aware of the role that Kuwait plays in the region and in the world. Your country is highly appreciated for its generosity and humanitarian actions. We welcome a constant growth in our bilateral contacts,” Poland’s foreign minister said yesterday in Kuwait.

The agenda of Deputy Foreign Minister Marcin Przydacz’s visit to Lithuania included attending the “Valdas Adamkus International Conference” on the EU’s future Eastern policy, meeting with the deputy foreign minister of Lithuania and visiting the Mažeikiai oil refinery.

The first two debates summarising the activity of the Polish diplomacy in the last four years were held on Friday in Kielce and on Saturday in Torun.

“Eighty years ago the so-called Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact was signed. Poland was the most heavily affected by its consequences: it became the first target of the aggression which started the Second World War. The pact stopped the Western nations from providing military support to Poland,” said Deputy Minister Szynkowski vel Sęk during events held at the Museum of the Second World War in Gdansk. The events were accompanied by an academic conference and a presentation of an official video launching the exhibition titled “Fighting and Suffering” and an information campaign in social media.

In another round of periodic political consultations, Polish Undersecretary of State at the MFA Maciej Lang met with Kenneth Haczynski da Nóbrega, the Secretary for Bilateral Relations with the Middle East, Europe and Africa at the MFA of the Federative Republic of Brazil.
