Gathered in Helsingborg, Sweden, the top diplomats also spoke about preparations for the upcoming NATO Summit in Ankara.

22.05.2026On 22 May 2026, Secretary of State for European Affairs Ignacy Niemczycki paid a visit to Bern. He met with Switzerland's State Secretary and Director of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs Helene Budliger Artieda and Deputy State Secretary at the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs Patric Franzen. The talks included, among other subjects, Poland's bilateral relations with Switzerland and Switzerland-EU links.

19.05.2026On 19 May, the European Parliament launched the European Order of Merit to honour individuals who have made a significant contribution to European integration. The laureates included Jerzy Buzek, former Prime Minister of Poland and former President of the European Parliament, and Lech Wałęsa, former President of Poland and leader of the Solidarity movement.
