On 18 may, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski met with France's Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot for bilateral consultations. The two heads of diplomacy took part in an official event to mark the opening of a renovated seat of the Polish Institute.

The role of architecture in building Poland's image abroad and cooperation between the architectural and diplomatic communities were the focus of the address delivered by Head of the Foreign Service and Director General Henryka Mościcka-Dendys at the Congress of Polish Architecture. The event brough together representatives of public administration, cultural institutions, and the architectural community.

On 14-15 May, Undersecretary of State Artur Harazim headed the Polish delegation to the annual session of the Council of Europe's Committee of Ministers in Chișinău.

On 13 May, Deputy Prime Minister Radosław Sikorski gave an inaugural interview titled "Europe on a Strategic Course: Security, Sovereignty, and the Future of Economic Cooperation” to mark the opening of the International Maritime Congress in Szczecin. Poland's top diplomat spoke about maritime security, Polish armaments programmes, and challenges faced by NATO.

During the IMPACT CEE 2026 conference in Poznań on 13 May, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski spoke about reasons behind the Ukraine war, Poland's role on the map of Europe, and transformations in the European Union. Also, Poland's top diplomat visited the MFA's stand presenting and promoting the global network of Polish Institutes.

Prospects for peace talks between Russia and Ukraine, the situation at the front line, and ceasefire were the main topics of Poland's Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski's meeting with Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha. The talks took place on 12 May, on the sidelines of the PISM Strategic Ark international conference. The chiefs of diplomacy also participated in a ministerial session "Preparing for Wars to Come-The Community of Democracies in Times of Global Risk” during the conference.

On 10-12 May, Undersecretary of State Wojciech Zajączkowski went on a visit to Cairo, where he held political consultations with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The talks concerned prospects for enhancing Polish-Egyptian relations, with particular focus on economic, academic, agrifood, transport, digital, and defence cooperation.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski presented the Bene Merito distinction to Stanisław Aronson. The award is recognition of his unwavering service, outstanding contribution to building historical memory, and long-standing efforts to promote the good name of Poland, understanding, and reconciliation in Polish-Jewish relations.

Today, Undersecretary of State Robert Kupiecki received US Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Thomas DiNanno. This was a follow-up to the talks the deputy ministers held in Washington in December 2025 and another meeting on security and defence cooperation, after the 16th round of the Poland-US Strategic Dialogue.

Sanctions imposed on further 16 individuals and seven entities responsible for unlawful deportation, forced resettlement, and assimilation of Ukrainian children are the outcome of the recent Foreign Affairs Council (FAC). Poland was represented by Secretary of State at the MFA Marcin Bosacki.
