09.08.2024Deputy Minister Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski visited Japan on 6–9 August 2024. The minister met with the Japanese government’s representatives: Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Yoichi Fukazawa, Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary Hideki Murai, in charge of Ukraine’s reconstruction, and board members of the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The agenda included future development of the Poland–Japan strategic partnership, established in 2015, Polish–Japanese cooperation in regard to rebuilding Ukraine, and the global political and security situation.

08.08.2024The talks between Poland’s Deputy Foreign Minister Jakub Wiśniewski and State Secretary for Development Policy Lotte Machon of the Kingdom of Denmark’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs centred on the priorities of the Polish and Danish presidencies with respect to development cooperation and humanitarian aid. Poland and Denmark will consecutively hold Council of the EU presidencies in 2025.

29.07.2024On 24 July, the first interministerial Poland–U.S. consultations were held after Poland joined the coalition of states for preventing the illegal use of commercial spyware.

27.07.2024Secretary of State at the Polish MFA Andrzej Szejna took part in political consultations with the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Kinshasa. The Polish delegation was headed by Deputy Minister Szejna and included representatives of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, and business circles.

25.07.2024After a five-year break, the Ministry of Foreign Affaires resumes the Jerzy Giedroyć Competition for the best research papers on Polish-Ukrainian and Ukrainian-Polish relations. The initiative is being implemented by the Polish Institute in Kyiv in cooperation with the Centre for East European Studies at the University of Warsaw, and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Kyiv.
