12.10.2022Social services really improve the quality of life of local communities, families, and people of all ages. The Ministry of Family and Social Policy has earmarked over PLN 32 million for their development as part of a grant competition. On Wednesday, representatives of local governments signed grant agreements at the Ministry headquarters.

06.10.2022On Thursday, 6 October, a press conference was held at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister for Digital Affairs, with the participation of the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg, Government Plenipotentiary for Cybersecurity, Janusz Cieszyński, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Family and Social Policy, Barbara Socha, President of the Family Council, Dorota Bojemska and Director of the NASK National Research Institute, Wojciech Pawlak. During the conference, the NASK report – “Teenagers in the face of digital pornography” and the draft act on the protection of minors on the internet, which requires Internet providers to implement a mechanism allowing to block access of children to pornographic content, were presented.

04.10.2022On 19 and 20 October, a scientific conference entitled “The conditions of fertility” will be held within the framework of the 3rd Demographic Congress 2021-2022, “Poland of the 21st century – demographic challenges”. The conference will be attended by: representatives of the ministries, Polish and foreign demographic experts and practitioners who will discuss the most important issues of demographic policy during the conference. The organisers of the event are: Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg and Government Plenipotentiary for Demographic Policy, Barbara Socha, together with President of the Government Population Council Prof. Dr. hab. Józefina Hrynkiewicz, President of the Statistics Poland, Dr Dominik Rozkrut and President of the Polish Statistical Association, Prof. Dr. hab. Waldemar Tarczyński.

30.09.2022As in the previous month, the unemployment rate in Poland in August was 2.6%. – informs Eurostat. Thus, Poland is again ranked second among the European Union countries with the lowest unemployment rate. Again, the first place belongs to the Czech Republic with the result of 2.4% and the last on the podium is Malta (2.9), before Germany.

30.09.2022Entrepreneurs who suffered due to the environmental situation in the Odra River may already apply for a one-off benefit. Eligible entrepreneurs will receive a one-off amount of 3,010 PLN per insured employee. We want to ensure that the funds are paid as soon as possible. The money will go to companies operating along the Odra River and their revenues decreased by at least 50% - says the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg.

28.09.2022The Senioralia 2022 were held at the PGE National Stadium. This is a meeting of people who use government support programmes implemented by the Ministry of Family and Social Policy, such as “Senior+” and “Active+”. About 600 people from all over Poland came to the capital city. The event has been prepared by the Ministry of Family and Social Policy. The Senioralia were visited by Minister Marlena Maląg.

26.09.2022The call for applications for the “Social Employment Programme for the years 2022-2025” is being launched. Clubs and centres for social inclusion will be able to apply for support from PLN 20 to 120 thousand.

23.09.2022The Statistics Poland reported that in August the unemployment rate was 4.8%. “This is even a better result than indicated by the preliminary estimates. We have not seen such figures for more than three decades” – highlights the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg.

21.09.2022In the competition by the Federation of Polish Entrepreneurs, Minister Maląg was awarded in the category of public administration “for constructive dialogue, taking the demands of entrepreneurs into account, including persons with disabilities, and effective legislative solutions including increasing the possibility for employers to provide food benefits to their employees”.

20.09.2022We are coming to an end of payments of so-called “fourteenth pensions”. On Tuesday, we transferred more than PLN 1.5 billion to another group of seniors. This is a real financial support. It proves that we care about the oldest generation of Poles – says the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg.
