Deputy Minister Barbara Socha presented the draft amendment of the Act on Family Support and Forster Care in Sejm. – These systemic changes are both needed and expected by the communities – said the Deputy Minister.

Combining independent living with support provided by a qualified staff is the major task of care and residential centres. – This year, we are allocating PLN 30 million for the implementation of tasks as part of the ongoing call for applications for the programme – says Paweł Wdówik, Deputy Minister of Family and Social Policy and Government Plenipotentiary for Disabled People.

The Sejm passed the Act on social economy – this is the first act comprehensively governing this subject. The new regulation will contribute to creating stable jobs in social enterprises and will increase the availability of social services.

As part of the simplified procedure, nearly 300 thousand citizens of Ukraine have already found work in Poland. – We are constantly developing support tools in the labour market of our eastern neighbours. Together with the Digital Affairs of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, we created a new portal for citizens of Ukraine looking for work. This is Pracawpolsce.gov.pl – says the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg.

At the end of June, the registered unemployment rate amounted to 4.9% – estimates the Ministry of Family and Social Policy. Such low unemployment was last recorded 32 years ago.

Regardless of whether we decide to spend our holidays by the sea, in the mountains, in Mazury or maybe in the city – with the Large Family Card, discounts are waiting for us all over Poland. – These are holiday resorts, amusement parks, cinemas, museums, swimming pools and many other places. It is worth becoming familiar with the offer of partners and paying less – encourages the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg.

More flexible labour market, greater opportunities to use Polish language courses, as well as the creation of pre-school points for children from Ukraine – these are the most important assumptions of the amendment to the Act on assistance to citizens of Ukraine signed by President Andrzej Duda.

“Equalising opportunities and reducing differences, reducing poverty, better educational and development prospects – a better start into adulthood. But also a better today. These are the most important objectives of the broadly understood family-oriented policy of our government, which from the very beginning has put the family in the spotlight of its activities” – stresses the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg.

The Minister of Family and Social Policy Marlena Maląg and the Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Maryna Lazebna signed the Declaration on the protection of children affected by hostilities and armed conflicts. „This is a symbolic emphasis on good cooperation between our countries for the protection of the rights of children, in particular, orphans and children deprived of parental care” – says Minister Maląg.

– Digitisation of services is a direction which we will not abandon – said Minister Marlena Maląg during the jubilee conference on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the ZUS Electronic Services Platform and the Call Centre. She mentioned numerous government programmes implemented by the Ministry of Family and Social Policy, which are available online for Poles.
