Poland in Kenya

On 20 April 2026 Chargé d'affaires a.i. Marcin Kubiak, together with Krzysztof Szczerski Permanent Representative of the Republic of Poland to the United Nations in New York, held a meeting with Ambassador Njambi Kinyungu, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Multilateral Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Diaspora of the Republic of Kenya.

A courtesy call by Chargé d'affaires a.i. Marcin Kubiak and Ambassador Krzysztof Szczerski, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Poland to the United Nations in New York, to the Director-General of the United Nations Office in Nairobi, Zainab Bangura, took place in the context of the ongoing session of the Executive Borad of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT).

On April 17th, the finale of the 4th LampART Short Film Festival, co-organized by the Polish Embassy in Nairobi in cooperation with the Mombasa University of Technology, took place at the Alliance Française in Mombasa.

On 14 April, Chargé d'affaires a.i. Marcin Kubiak met with Abraham Korir Sing'Oei, Principal Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Kenya.

The Entry/Exit System (EES) is Europe's new border management system for registering non-EU nationals travelling for a short stay, each time they cross the external borders of 29 European countries.

From March 23rd to April 1st 2026, three representatives of the National Museums of Kenya (NMK) undertook a study visit to Poland, organized by the Embassy of Poland in Nairobi and the Department of Cultural Diplomacy and Promotion of Poland at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On 26 March, we had the pleasure of hosting representatives of Estonian Centre for International Development (ESTDEV): Ms. Eva-Maria Liimets, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Programme Manager for Democracy and the Rule of Law at ESTDEV; Ms. Katrin Winter, Regional Head for Africa at ESTDEV; and Ms. Olga Bogdanova, ESTDEV Representative in Africa.

We kindly inform you that on Friday, April 3, 2026 (Good Friday), and Monday, April 6, 2026 (Easter Monday), the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Nairobi and its Consular Section will be closed.

The two-day visit to Nairobi by dr Jędrzej Czerep, an expert on East Africa from the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM), included the organisation of workshops for Kenyan journalists, a meeting with diplomats from like-minded countries, and a lecture for students at the United States International University-Africa in Nairobi. The visit, which took place on 24-25 March was at the invitation of the Embassy that organised the programme.

On 23 March, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. Marcin Kubiak met with Professor Mwenda Ntarangwi, Vice-Chancellor of the United States International University-Africa in Nairobi.
