Photovoltaic Micro-System Above 6.5 kW
Steps in the investment process for implementing this system
The investment process for a photovoltaic system with a total installed capacity exceeding 6.5 kW, in addition to submitting a micro-system notification or obtaining connection conditions, includes additional obligations.
Step 1 – Approval of the installation design by a Fire Protection Expert
For photovoltaic devices with an installed electrical capacity greater than 6.5 kW, it is mandatory to obtain approval from a certified fire protection expert regarding compliance of the design with fire safety requirements.
Detailed description of this procedure is available at the following link:
Consultation of the Installation Design with a Fire Protection Expert Regarding Compliance with Fire Safety Regulations
Step 2 – Notification of the micro-system / obtaining connection conditions
If the capacity of the micro-system is equal to or lower than the connection capacity of the facility on which it will be installed, a notification of connection to the grid must be submitted. The operator will complete the connection within 30 days from the date of notification.
If, however, the connection capacity of the micro-system exceeds the connection capacity of the facility on which it is installed, it is necessary to submit an application for determination of connection conditions.
Detailed description of the micro-system notification process is available at the following link:
Micro-system Notification

Application for Issuance of Conditions for Connection to the Electricity Grid
Step 3 – Notification to the State Fire Service (PSP) upon completion of construction
For photovoltaic systems with a capacity greater than 6.5 kW, it is also required to notify the State Fire Service authorities upon completion of the construction of the building and the intention to commence its use. The authorities will issue a statement regarding the compliance of the constructed building with the approved design. If the authority does not issue a statement within 14 days from the date of receiving the notification, this is considered as no objection or comments.
