Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has unveiled details of the First Home programme, which provides for secure, state-subsidised mortgages with a low, fixed interest rate for first-home buyers. The programme will also enable prospective homeowners to open housing savings accounts with attractive bonuses. This is yet another solution to help Poles acquire, maintain and modernise their homes.

On the 24th anniversary of Poland joining the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki travelled to the 1st Warsaw Armoured Brigade in Wesoła. Together with Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Blaszczak, the PM met with ‘Train with NATO’ participants. This year, the one-day military training for civilians was unique due to the involvement of instructors from allied troops stationed in our country. The PM stressed that we must ensure Poland is always ready to defend its freedom and independence. That is why we encourage everyone to take part in training, practice with our allies and provide our soldiers with the latest equipment.

We care about the Polish industry and strengthening the country’s fuel security. We want Poland to develop sustainably, providing access to jobs. We have allocated over PLN 88 million in funding from the Strategic Investment Programme for the construction of a transport route from the Jedlicze refinery to the Jasło-Krosno national road. The Prime Minister visited the Jedlicze refinery, where a new bioethanol production plant will be built. The investment will strengthen Poland’s position in the European market of new-generation biofuels and create new jobs.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki met with women at the Polish Woman of the 21st Century Conference. It is a platform to discuss the current needs of women in various areas. The Prime Minister announced positive changes in health care for Polish women. He also declared the allocation of PLN 1 billion a year for businesses founded by women. Programmes to support Polish women in their role as mothers and, at the same time, to facilitate their return to the labour market – such as Family 500+ or Family Care Capital – are already working well.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki met in Riyadh, capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia. The politicians discussed current bilateral relations and further cooperation in the supply of oil to Poland in order to ensure energy security for our country. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki also presented the great potential that Poland has in terms of investment in future technologies and the export potential of Polish agriculture. During the talks, international and regional issues were also raised. The visit to Riyadh was the first by a Polish Prime Minister to Saudi Arabia in 11 years.

We ensure a balanced budget and public finances. Thanks to efficient management and innovative tools, we are at the forefront of the European Union countries that are reducing the VAT gap the fastest. Between 2016 and 2022, VAT revenue increased from PLN 123.1 billion to PLN 230.5 billion, and we anticipate a further increase to PLN 286.3 billion in 2023 - a whopping 132.5 per cent. Since 2016, we have also seen a rapid increase in CIT tax revenue - next year we estimate it will be PLN 95.4 billion. This is despite the reduction of the CIT rate and the introduction of a number of tax reliefs for entrepreneurs.

Saturday's Programme Congress of the OdNowa Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej Association was dedicated to self- governance, security, the economy and the young generation. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki took part in a discussion entitled "Roundtable for self-governance". It was an opportunity to review the activities that support local governments across Poland. Thanks to government programmes, funds are flowing to all municipalities, cities and smaller towns. Government funding is used, among other things, for the construction and modernisation of kindergartens, schools, nurseries or road, water and sewage infrastructure.

Since 2011, we have celebrated National Day of Remembrance of the Cursed Soldiers which falls on 1 March. The late President of the Republic of Poland Lech Kaczyński initiated the commemoration of the heroes who played an important role in Poland's independence. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki took part in ceremonies at the Museum of Cursed Soldiers and Political Prisoners of the Polish People's Republic, where he laid flowers at the plaque commemorating Col. Łukasz Ciepliński and members of the 4th Main Board of the Freedom and Independence Association. The head of the Polish government stressed that the Cursed Soldiers testified with their lives to the great value of freedom, independence, truth and goodness.

Poles eagerly use electronic services. The mObywatel (mCitizen) mobile application has already been downloaded by 9.5 million citizens. To meet society’s expectations, we will be expanding the range of services available via the app, allowing Poles to handle a wide range of affairs without leaving home, as well as to pay online for public services. As such, electronic documents in the mObywatel app will soon be deemed as valid as traditional, physical documents. Other popular digital services used by Polish citizens include the profil zaufany (Trusted Profile), Internetowe Konto Pacjenta (Internet Patient Account) and eRecepty (ePrescriptions).

PLN 10 billion will be spent on strengthening the Border Guard and other services as part of the programme to modernise the services until 2025. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki visited the Border Guard Centre for Specialised Training in Luban. The head of the Polish government met with Border Guard officers. He thanked them for their service and for protecting the borders of our country and, at the same time, the eastern borders of the European Union.
