27.02.2023Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki met with representatives of Volvo Cars. The company announced the opening of its fourth Tech Hub in the world in Kraków. Later this year, the Kraków branch will employ 120 people. By 2025, personnel will increase to around 600. New jobs will be created thanks to the right policy of the Polish government. The Swedish company's investment will allow it to expand its high-tech expertise in our country. This is another foreign company that has decided to open a branch in Poland.

The head of the Polish government handed over the first Leopard tanks to Ukraine. The regular purchase of modern equipment for the Polish army makes it possible to support our neighbour militarily. The visit of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki to Kyiv is a clear signal of further actions to defend Ukraine. Poland consistently supports activities for the security of Ukraine and Europe.

The aggressor's troops are killing civilians, including children and women, in a barbaric manner. This Friday will mark one year since these tragic events. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki attended the “In Solidarity with Ukraine” concert at the Grand Theatre - National Opera, which commemorates the anniversary of Russia's attack on Ukraine.

During the visit, the heads of state, together with Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, took part in talks between Polish and American delegations. President Biden also delivered a speech to the Poles and took part in the extraordinary summit of the Bucharest Nine of NATO. Earlier, the President of the United States of America visited Ukraine, which has been heroically fending off an attack by Russia for almost a year. The visit of the American head of state is an expression of the strength of the NATO alliance and the Polish-American relationship.

22.02.2023Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki held talks in Warsaw with the head of the Czech government, Petr Fiala. The leaders discussed bilateral issues and security measures in Europe. The conversation also concerned the prospects for further tightening of the sanctions regime – currently, there are ongoing works on the 10th package of sanctions against Russia and Belarus. The Polish and Czech leaders met at the History Meeting House, where they visited an exhibition of selected photographs by photographer Chris Niedenthal.

The Munich conference provided an opportunity for many bilateral meetings and behind-the-scenes conversations. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki discussed security, including the building of an appropriate rapid reaction and deterrent force, with the President of the European Commission and the German Chancellor. Building a coalition of countries that would produce and co-finance munitions was also an important topic of discussion. The head of the Polish government also met with the President of Kurdistan, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and the mayor of Kyiv.
